National Sheriffs' Association Education & Technology Expo 2019 

Each year, Sheriffs, deputies, and other law enforcement professionals gather for the Annual Conference and Exhibition and Winter Conference.  

This year the event took place from June 15th to June 19th at the Kentucky International Convention Center, in Louisville, were over 60 seminars and workshops covered all aspects of the duties and responsibilities for a sheriffs office or sheriff department, including, but not limited to law enforcement, jail operations, service of process, prisoner transportation, court security, and judicial security.

At the exhibit hall were 500 exhibit booths with a very diverse group ranging from weapons, universities, electronics, vehicles, clothing, commissary, forensics, government agencies, and more.

We were honored and very glad to have met Senior Team Leader Joseph Garcia @stl_garcia_kilo1 one of the world’s foremost experts in the highly specialized area of Corrections Special Operations. STL Garcia is among the field’s leading innovators, trainers, speakers, and expert witnesses. Currently, he is Senior Instructor for the United States Corrections-Special Operations Group (US C-SOG). He is also an active Capt. with the Richmond City Sheriff's Office serving as the SDU Commander. STL Garcia spearheads US C-SOG’s Special Detachment Unit which provides training to corrections emergency response teams nationally and internationally.
